"Unlike the Conventional Super 8 Cartridge Camera , the Double Super 8 Camera Uses a Film Pressure Plate for Maximum Steadiness and Sharpness! Result that you cannot obtain with cameras using the Kodak Cartridge(Unreliable plastic pressure plate. Bolex Double Super 8 Cameras Accept Regular and Crystal Motors. This Format is the ONLY Super 8 Professional System available!"
Quote from the cameraspro.com website. Anyone care to comment? Anyone shooting Double 8?
Thanks,

I shoot Double Super 8 (DS8). Yes, you get better film transport with a camera pressure plate and sprocket guides. Thing is the Super 8 cartridges work incredibly well themselves despite their inferior design so main reason I got into DS8 was that I can use Kodachrome 25 daylight film.
BTW cameraspro's prices are looney!!
